These terms govern any commission, retrofit, calibration or sale carried out by Wheel & Wire ("we", "us"), a small workshop based in the West Midlands, United Kingdom. By placing an order, sending a brief or booking work, you agree to the terms below.
Commissions and quotes
Quotes are valid for 30 days and are based on the information you provide about your vehicle. If the wheel, hub, airbag, or trim spec differs from what you described, we may revise the quote before starting work and will confirm in writing first.
A 50% deposit is required to begin a bespoke commission. The deposit covers materials, which are cut to order and cannot be re-used.
Lead times
Most commissions complete in six weeks; carbon and bespoke leather work can run to eight. Lead times are estimates, not guarantees, and can be affected by supplier delivery, fitment surveys and ADAS calibration windows. We will keep you updated by email.
Your vehicle
You confirm you are the registered keeper of the vehicle, or have the keeper's written permission to authorise work. You are responsible for informing your insurer of any modifications. We can supply a full itemised invoice describing the work for your insurer on request.
We do not remove, defeat or disable safety systems. Airbag, steering angle sensor and ADAS calibration are always retained or recalibrated before the car leaves us.
Calibration work
ECU and TCU calibration is developed in-house and supplied with a 12-month warranty covering drivetrain and emissions. The warranty is void if a third party flashes the ECU or TCU after our work, or if the vehicle is run on incorrect-grade fuel.
We do not write maps that defeat emissions equipment or remove DPF, GPF, EGR or AdBlue systems. Calibration is supplied for road use in the United Kingdom.
Returns and consumer rights
Stock wheels purchased unused may be returned within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, provided they are in original condition. Bespoke and made-to-order wheels are exempt from the 14-day cancellation right once production has started.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Liability
Our liability for any single commission is limited to the amount you paid us for that work. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of use of the vehicle while we hold it. This does not limit liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of England and Wales.
